I don’t know which brand is best as I experimented with this myself for many years but I did find one way to save money on pantyhose. This will work only if you buy the same brand, shades, etc. I always bought three shades and stayed with that. When you do get a run, don’t discard the panty hose. Just cut the damaged leg off a few inches below the panty and next time you get a run in another pair do the same thing. This way you can wear the two pairs (with one leg each) as long as they are the same shade. The pros are it saves money and gives you extra support. The only con I discovered is if you work in a warm office it will cause you to be warmer than one pantyhose layer. I get a lot of laughs when I share this with people but it does save money!

A good, fairly cheap brand of pantyhose is Leggs Sheer Energy. They usually are about three or four dollars at drug stores or grocery stores. I’ve tried wearing cheaper hose before and they don’t last as long and they are uncomfortable too.
Sometimes, Walgreen’s will have Leggs pantyhose on sale where you can buy one get one free. When that sale is going on, I usually stock up. Also, there is the website OneHanesPlace.com that I know of that sells there Leggs pantyhose in bulk if you wanted to check that out too.
Hope this helps. =)

Without questions, L’eggs Sheer Energy. They fit well, feel great on your legs and won’t run the first time you wear them. They are less then $5/pair though if you order slightly imperfects via One Hanes Place (their on-line store) you can save $ and order them in bulk. You can buy Sheer Energy knee-highs there too which are great.

Funny, pantyhose that are good quality and inexpensive almost go together like oil and water. They are out there. Leggs can be ok, but for an extra few bucks you can go to the department store and get brands like Hue, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, etc. It is worth it to pay the few extra dollars for a decent brand. Of course, Wolford is the best brand, but also very expensive unless you can find some good deals on ebay. Also check out these sites that sell excellent European brands:
Hope this helps.

L’eggs Sheer Energy or Sheer Energy Active Support. No Nonsense Smart Support or Sheer Endurance. The key is lycra content in the legs. My most dependable pair of pantyhose are Hanes Alive, but they run for $9/pair,,perhaps too high for you, but they are so durable.
Just whatever you do, don’t buy store brands that go for under $2…run city!! And scratchy too.

If you have a dollar general close by there is a brand called bobbie brooks that are around 2 dollars or sometimes a dollar a pair that are fairly durable and are pretty nice looking. If you go to walmart leggs makes some called leggs everyday regular. Those come in both control top and non-control top style. Again they are cheap and pretty durable. Hope that helps.

L’eggs silken mist are very sheer and silky, and actually last a while for inexpensive pantyhose. They look and feel great on your legs.

Keep an eye out for coupons. Brands like Hanes regularly go on sale at price less than $3/pair.
